About our school

Taree Public School, built in 1865, is situated in the coastal town of Taree on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. The school is centrally located being only 1 block from the CBD. Taree Public School is a proud member of the Connected Communities initiative and the Early Action for Success program.

Our school is well supported by our local community who assist us to provide a stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all students. We have a commitment to maintaining and enhancing our relationship with parents, caregivers and the wider community. We work together with our school community to provide our students with quality learning opportunities.

At Taree Public School we provide well balanced, engaging and challenging learning programs delivered by dedicated staff that engage in continual professional development, to ensure all students achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our freshly renovated buildings and extensive playground space provide a safe and happy environment for all students. A new early learning room enables the school to run an extended Kindergarten transition program and local community organisations to run in-school programs.
