Book Week

Book Week is a special time at Taree Public School, where we come together to celebrate a love of reading and storytelling.
Throughout the week, students enjoy a range of engaging activities, including a much-loved costume walk through town and visit to local town library. These events help to spark imagination, promote literacy, and build a strong reading culture across our school community.

Harmony Day

Taree Public School proudly embraces the diverse cultural backgrounds of our students and their families. We are committed to inclusivity and a strong sense of belonging, which is reflected in our daily practices and whole-school events.

Harmony Day in March is a key celebration, bringing our school community together to share culture, promote respect, and build unity through food, music, and meaningful connections.

NAIDOC

Each July, Taree Public School proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week, honoring the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Students and families and the wider community, combine on local aboriginal land to celebrate culture through storytelling, art, dance, and meaningful experiences, reflecting our ongoing commitment to deepening cultural understanding and strengthening Aboriginal education.
