Student opportunities and activities

Debating and public speaking

Students have the opportunity to develop their critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking, both within the classroom and across the school environment.

Additionally, they can represent our school and compete in local small schools' group competitions, building confidence and showcasing their abilities.

Creative and performing arts

Beyond academics, our students also have the chance to explore their musical and creative talents.

With the guidance of skilled musicians from the Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF), students can learn to play a variety of musical instruments, enriching their creativity and fostering a love for music.

Our dance groups showcase their talents at a variety of events within the community including the Taree & District Eisteddfod and cultural ceremonies and events.

Trips and excursions

Our students thrive when they step outside the classroom to explore, learn, and embrace new experiences. These opportunities foster their growth, build confidence, and reveal how their learning connects to the wider world.

These experiences range from Outdoor Classroom Days at the riverbank with families, NAIDOC Celebration at Saltwater reserve and overnight excursions to locations beyond the local area.
